Our origins and founder
The History of the Cursillo Movement

Deepening personal faith in Christ
At its core, Cursillo focuses on nurturing a vital, personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Grounded firmly in the teachings and Catechism of the Catholic Church, the movement invites men and women to live out their baptismal call. Through prayer, study, and Christian community, participants discover how to become leaven for the Gospel in their families, workplaces, and neighborhoods.

Serving our Lorain, Elyria and Surrounding community's
Honoring our deep cultural roots while welcoming the broader parish community, the Lorain Cursillo Movement conducts three-day weekends in English for parishioners across Lorain, Elyria, and neighboring Catholic parishes. Taking part in this transformative weekend equips you to live your Fourth Day with renewed spiritual purpose and active fellowship.
"My three-day weekend transformed how I live my Catholic faith every day. It brought me into a true, personal relationship with Christ and gave me lifelong brothers and sisters in prayer."
